How It All Started
Our journey began in 2014 when the inventor, an experienced bicycle dealer with a lot of issues with theft and transport, got his own bicycle stolen but found it just a few meters away. The bicycle was mounted with a prototype of N-Lock.
With this experience, his mind was set on developing N-Lock into something for every cyclist in the world.
It was not the first time the bicycle was stolen – but maybe the last.
Having pitched the idea to a couple of friends, and checking the market for other solutions, they discovered that there was not any bicycle lock like N-Lock on the market.
The guys joined forces and created the company Turn1 ApS, which is the holder of the patent for N-Lock.
The project was kicked off the same year, and since then we have been developing and improving N-Lock.
We have spent over 8.000 hours to get the product ready for you. It takes around 10.000 hours to really understand what you’re doing.
We are getting close but we always trying to rethink how the N-Lock can be improved.
The three owners are Lars Kristensen, a former bicycle dealer, René Jelen, a salesman, and Anders Poulsen, who has a background in shipping.
Recently, the owners added a new member to the team – Sabine L. Groth. Sabine will take care of social media, communications, the website and marketing.
Our vision is to revolutionize the way we lock, park and transport our bicycles – globally.
